Is LiveProfile free? Are there any hidden fees?

It's 100% free and utilizes your existing data plan or WiFi. It does not use your SMS texting plan. I forgot my password how do I reset it? If you forgot your password you are given the option to reset it once you attempt to login with an incorrect password.

How do I sign out?

There is no reason to sign out of LiveProfile. It does not use any resources or battery while in the background as it uses push notifications. Signing out would defeat the purpose of an SMS alternative. How do you sign out of text messaging? If you are looking to not receive messages simply set your status to busy.

My LiveProfile isn't working

Try to uninstall and reinstall it the app as this usually fixes common problems. Make sure you have internet connectivity by visiting a website from your phone. If you still can't get the app to work e-mail us support@liveprofile.com.

What does the checkmarks and S, D, R mean next to my messages?

  • S - Message was successfully sent to our server (iPhone users using push will sometimes display S)
  • D - Message was delivered to the recipients device
  • R - The recipient has read the message

How do I delete a friend or message?

  • Android - Hold your finger down on the user or message
  • iPhone - Swipe your finger from left to right on top of the user or message
  • BlackBerry - Highlight the message and choose menu > delete

How much data does LiveProfile use?

Barely any! A LiveProfile message consisting of 80 words is less than 1kb. Even if you have a small limited data plan with 200mb you can send over 800,000 messages that consist of 5 words.

Does LiveProfile drain or kill my battery?

Not at all, LiveProfile utilizes push notifications to save precious battery life and system resources. If you are not using LiveProfile it's not using any battery. When a message comes in your device responds to the push notification and notifies you of a message, should you decide to read the message the app will then start.

How do I get sound and/or vibration alerts for messages?

To set custom alerts go to the sound profiles section > advanced and find LiveProfile

LiveProfile disappeared from my BlackBerry

If you are using BlackBerry and cannot find the LiveProfile icon it's possible you just updated the app and require a reboot. Simply remove the battery and reinsert once your device comes back on LiveProfile will reappear.

iPhone

My iPhone is not receiving push notifications

Go to settings > notifications > LiveProfile Ensure notifications are on and Sounds, Alerts, Badges are also on.

My iPhone is unlocked and/or jailbroken and push doesn't work

Your device is not properly activated with Apple and therefore cannot receive push notifications.
